STEP-BY-STEP REGISTRATION GUIDE FOR NEW ATHLETES

STEP ONE

You must pay your $30 registration/joining fee (unless you are a school student on April1 of the current year, in which case there is no fee payable). Payment is by Visa or MasterCard through Register Now, which is a third party website authorised to accept card payments on behalf of APSOC. If the payment is not received, you will be ineligble to run.

STEP TWO

When you have completed your payment and it has been confirmed by Register Now, an receipt number is generated and displayed on the screen. The receipt number is also included in an automatically generated email. Write down or copy the receipt number as you will need it for the next step.

STEP THREE

Return to this website to register your details using our online registration form, making sure you include the receipt number from Register Now, then submit the form. You must do this by the Thursday prior to your first race, as there is a deadline for new athlete registrations of 6.00 pm that day. If you miss the deadline, you will not be permitted to compete until the next APSOC race.

Please note that you will need to join an APSOC club and have an existing APSOC member nominate you.

ON RACE DAY, collect your race tag from the custodian of the new runners’ race tags.

 

NOTES:

  1. Please note that once you have registered, you are registered for life. You only follow the registration procedure once. It is not necessary to repeat the procedure for each new season.
  2. Invitation athletes must follow the same procedure, including the payment of the registration/joining fee, but they are not required to join an APSOC club.
  3. Registration/joining fees do not apply to current school students.
  4. Your club will probably charge you a further membership fee. The amount of that fee will be fixed by your club. Payment of the registration/joining fee does not give you APSOC membership.
  5. Remember, you must also have paid the $30 fee via Register Now and submitted the online registration form by 6.00 pm on the Thursday prior to your first race. If the payment is not made, you will be ineligible to run.
